oh I'm sure it'll be 6-10 or 5-11 this year....remember we have no WR's, no TE's, no LB's, no CB's, a very mediocre set of RB's and an average at best QB....

Best LB is out for at least the first 3 games.

Don't worry about playoffs. I wish the streak was going to continue; it isn't.
As pessimistic as you've been, 11 wins is more than even I predicted. What gives?

we need to start a new poll on cinciFan prediction

a} he was posting while drinking
b} its a typo he got his Ws and Ls mixed up
c} hes screwing with you all and laughing his ass off at you now.

actually 11-5 is a respectable guess
ATM i'm thinking 10-6 ish but will make my final prediction after i ponder it a bit longer waiting to see if our crack bengal medical team missed the diagnoses on AJ and Adam Jones as they normally do.

    11-5 and another playoff loss.

I went with 10-6. I'm not sure if that gets them in the playoffs or not.

  12. #12
6-10 at best for this Bengals team. It's true...it's true...trust me.

Truth is, I just pulled up the schedule, considered each game and what I know/expect about the situation, and decided who I thought would win. I intentionally excluded thoughts of the running count until I was done, and this is where it ended up.

Nope! That's my real prediction. I'll admit now that I sit back and look at it, it doesn't feel right (too high; maybe 7-9 is a better guess?!), but I'm sticking with it and hoping for it.

Solid guess there. But false. Maybe you're giving me too much credit for being diabolical? Anyway, while I WOULD do that, I didn't.

And in general, I greatly enjoy the incredulity over my prediction!

You're NUTS! Why even bother predicting if you're just going to be such a blind homer as to not even be realistic?

    (is that better?)

So are you taking back your prediction that they'll miss the playoffs or do you want it both ways?

My overall sentiment is that this team is gonna tank, but when I looked at each game and predicted, I came out with 11-5, and I think that'll get them into the playoffs.

Well you're covered both ways. If they tank, they'll lose to some of those 11 teams

Looking at the schedule I can see a chance to win every game. Only two teams do I even consider in Bengals class when they play them. Pitt and NE. Everyone else is no where near as good as who we played last year and we ended up 12-4. We played Seahawks, Cardinals, Pitt, Chiefs and a better Broncos team. I really think we will beat Patriots when we play them. The first Pitt game is the only game I fear Bengals will be even as far as talent because we could be missing our top two TE's.
Bengals will win 13,14,15 or 16 games.

    11-5, possibly 10-6.

After last year's wild card melee, the league didn't cut them any scheduling breaks...

    -Playing in NYC on 9/11
    -First Pitts game without Burfict
-First home game post suspension for Tom Brady
    -'Home' game in London
    -2nd Pitt game on SNF
    -Night game on Christmas Eve

    I said 11-5.
"She's a Browns fan. She doesn't know anything about the playoffs." Chuck Todd referring to Kelly O'Donnell on "Meet the Press"

    I went 13-3

I had Wins against Denver, Dolphins, Cowboys, Browns (2), Eagles, and Ravens.

    New England was a loss

Jets, Squealers (2), Ravens away, Texans and Redskins (who knows what is going to happen with that kind of travel) as pick'em games.

I converted one Squealer game, Redskins and the Texan games to possible wins.

If I thought Kroft and Dennard would play week one would have been 14-2

    2016 prediction:

Marvin Lewis will continue to blame everyone but himself.

Mike Brown will finally fire Marvin Lewis after another failure to win a playoff game in a season full of promise.

What's Marvin's contract status? Is he on the final year?

No, he signed yet another one year contract extension through 2017 back in April.

I don't think the Bengals will even make the playoffs this year. In all likelihood, we'll be 2-4 after this weekend, while the Steelers will probably be 5-1, since they play the Dolphins this week. With the hole the Bengals have put themselves in, I see the second wildcard being a best case scenario unless they can get the ship righted in a hurry.

On paper, there was no reason to think there would be a huge drop off this year. I don't think anyone expected Ogbuehi to be as bad as he's been. We weren't expecting the big drop off going from Reggie Nelson to Shawn Williams (or Iloka's drop off in Nelson's absence).
