Your guess is as good as mine:

    Well, that was quick:

Dielman, Gilberry, and Winston for openers.

    And, off Bengals cuts topic:

    Osweiler out in Cleveland.

Lol @ those guys. Going to go wit Kizer all the way it looks like. They are just $6million poorer having bought Brock.

Well it looks like Russell won the job over Bene. I'm guessing the Bengals are hoping Elliott and Deilman make it to the practice squad.

I've seen a few guys get cut that I'd like to see the Bengals look at. Ben Boulware got cut. TJ Ward of course could be an upgrade. OT Khalif Barnes, C Tyler Orlosky, TE Jace Amaro, RB Matt Jones

Pretty crazy the Pats traded a third string QB and got a former first round WR for him.

Jace Amaro would be interesting. I'd love for them to kick the tires on T.J. Ward especially with Williams on the shelf for 1 or 2 games. Of course, the Bengals won't do it even if it is an upgrade and they have the $$$ to make it happen. This is why we lose in the 1st round of the playoffs while the Pats win Super Bowls.

Bengals cut 3 draft picks this year, 2 5th's and a 7th. Yet 2 UDFAs made the team Cethan Carter and Hardy Nickerson Jr.

No..that is any NFL team. The Pats are ultra-thin at WR...the Colts have worries about Luck and those behind him. Dorsett was super-bust...Jacoby maybe a little potential. A low-level manuver by both teams. Neither are going to be linchpins, maybe both become OK players.

Either way, this is not a Patriots market corner--everyone does it...yes, even the Bengals.

Sounds like the Paxton Lynch pick was a bust for the Broncos. They are looking to bring back Osweiler.

Still can't believe they only kept 4 DEs and 4 DTs, but kept 4 TEs. I'm guessing once they IR Driskell they bring back either Hardison, Clarke, or Gilberry.

TJ Ward intrigues me. He's physical and what is the prognosis on Sean Williams?
"She's a Browns fan. She doesn't know anything about the playoffs." Chuck Todd referring to Kelly O'Donnell on "Meet the Press"

man that's some SERIOUS talent at those 3 position groups.....if Dalton stays healthy and the o'line holds up, they're going to put up some video game-type numbers this year.

They'll have to cut someone next week after Jones is re-instated and another cut will be needed after Burfict comes back if no one goes on IR by then.

Cincyjungle says the Bengals claimed a guy off another team. The signed former Wisconsin DN Sojourne Shelton from the Cardinals. He' super quick, but very small.

Just goes to show what a guessing game the draft really is...and yet it gets graded just minutes after it's completed...comical when you think about it.

How about my favorite line . . . "you can't really grade these drafts until three or four years down the line" . . . and then spend the next 15 weeks of draft coverage NOT spending any time grading the drafts from three or four years ago.

Speaking of which, let's revisit the 2014 draft a minute.

Darqueze Dennard - still don't know what we have there. He's struggled with injuries and all the talk of his potential hasn't yet shown up on the field. Hopefully this is his breakout year.
Jeremy Hill - Brilliant his rookie season, but then got fumblitis, lost his confidence, and has never returned to form.
Will Clarke - Played well at times, but too inconsistent. Pack your bags.
Russell Bodine - Has drawn the ire of fans, but the coaches have defended him. He has improved some, but still needs to play significantly better this year.
AJ McCarron - Played well when forced into duty. Has a nice deep ball. Could be a starter for several teams.
Marquis Flowers - Never did anything noteworthy for the Bengals. New England can have him.
James Wright - Played okay in limited opportunities, but got beat out.
Lavelle Westbrooks - 7th rounder who didn't make the team.

So far, McCarron is arguably the best player from that draft. If we don't see some serious improvement from Dennard, Hill, and Bodine, this draft will look pretty bad.

    From Hobson.
The Bengals felt pretty good about the two players they signed from Arizona to fill out their practice squad, particularly guard-center Cole Toner, a second-year player. The Bengals lost rookie guard-center J.J. Dielman, a fifth-round pick, to waivers on Sunday, but in the 6-7, 300-pound Toner they get a 2016 fifth-rounder who has already played in two NFL games. And they’ve tracked Toner since he was at Harvard and gave him high grades for, naturally, brains …

They were hoping to squad cornerback Tony McRae, but when he signed with the Ravens practice squad the Bengals responded with a guy they pondered late in this year’s draft, the undrafted Sojourn Shelton. The 5-9, 168-pounder out of Wisconsin played in three pre-season games and recorded five tackles.

Also in the same article . . .
The defensive line has gone through some numbers changes. Rookie end Jordan Willis traded No. 99 to second-year nose tackle Andrew Billings for No. 75 and that’s what they’ll be wearing when they get their first NFL snaps Sunday. Rookie tackle Ryan Glasgow handed in No. 67 for more of a D-line number and got Brandon Thompson’s No. 98 …
